Our Team

Dr. Angela Bell is a board-certified optometrist with more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive, compassionate eye care to patients of all ages. She is committed to building lasting relationships with her patients and believes that exceptional eye care begins with listening, education, and personalized treatment.

A native of Athens, Tennessee, Dr. Bell earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. While completing her undergraduate studies, she worked for four years as an ophthalmic technician, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing a strong foundation in medical eye care. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where she completed clinical rotations emphasizing ocular disease, contact lenses, and primary eye care.

She provides comprehensive eye examinations and is experienced in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of eye conditions. She works collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers to ensure her patients receive the highest quality, coordinated care.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bell has remained actively involved in the optometric profession. She is a member of the Tennessee Optometric Physicians Association and the American Optometric Association and previously served as President of the Middle Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society. She has also been honored numerous times as Tullahoma's Finest Optometrist, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.

Outside the office, Dr. Bell enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She loves hiking, traveling, and exploring the beauty of the outdoors.

Dr. Jones was born and raised in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.

Dr. Jones completed externships with an emphasis in ocular disease and primary care at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee and Vision Source in Kansas City, Missouri. He is passionate about fitting specialty contact lenses, management of dry eye, and implementing the latest treatments in the field.

During his free time, Dr. Jones enjoys golfing, spending time with his wife and their golden retriever, and traveling to Knoxville and Nashville for Vols and Titans games!

Dr. William T. Frye is an experienced therapeutic optometrist who has served the Tullahoma community for more than three decades. A graduate of the Southern College of Optometry, he provides comprehensive eye care, including routine vision examinations, diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions, contact lens services, glaucoma care, and the evaluation of complex visual and systemic health concerns.

Dr. Frye also proudly served in the United States military for 27 years. His military career included assignments as an Army medical evacuation pilot, armored cavalry utility pilot, Air Force optometry officer, and Chief of the Optometry Clinic at Fort Richardson, Alaska. During his leadership, the clinic received its first accreditation from the American Optometric Association. He retired from the Air Force with an honorable discharge in 2010 and received numerous military honors throughout his service.

Committed to giving back, Dr. Frye has volunteered his professional services through humanitarian missions, Remote Area Medical clinics, and local community programs. He has also been active in organizations including the Tullahoma Lions Club, the American Legion, and his local church.

In his spare time, Dr. Frye enjoys spending time outdoors, flying, golfing, hiking, fishing, and bike riding.

Dr. Jenny Drake was born in Greenville, a small town in western Kentucky. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating with honors. She completed clinicals in Ocular disease and Low Vision, Pediatrics, Contact Lens, and Primary Care.

Dr. Drake joined Eye Health Partners, a 17-location referal center spanning three states, in July 2008, serving as the Center Director of Columbia, TN. After one year of service, she was promoted to Clinic Director of Middle Tennesse, including clinics in Murfreesboro, Columbia, and Nashville. In this role, she served as an optometric consultant to other physicians on difficult cases in eye disease management and diagnosis. In May 2012, Dr. Drake parted ways with Eye Health Partners to create Drake Eye Care and Eyewear, formally known as Sanders Eye Care.

Her specialty areas of practice include disease diagnosis and management, hard-to-fit contact lenses including those for presbyopia and keratoconus, and pediatrics. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, from infancy to maturity. She fully supports the American Optometric Society’s recommendation that a child be seen for an eye exam at age 6 months, and because of that belief, will provide a free exam to any child under one year of age.Her professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the Middle Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. She is a member of the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, the Blue Raider Athletic Association, and supports local school and community athletic programs.

Jenny is married to Gavin Drake, who also works in the practice as our optical manager.Together they have one son, Aiden, and one daughter, Zoe Ireland, who made an early arrival in October 2015. They also have a four-legged family member, Sebastian the Boston Terrier. When away from the office, they enjoy traveling and spending time as a family.
